Man accused of gunning down Lake Elsinore resident makes court appearance

MURRIETA (CNS) - A man accused of gunning down a 24-year-old Lake Elsinore resident was in court Friday for a preliminary hearing.Victor Daniel Vega, 26, is accused of shooting Brayan Guzman, whose body was discovered by a passersby about 10:25 a.m. April 28 in the 200 block of Graham Street, near Spring Street, in a business district about two blocks from the Riverside County sheriff's Lake Elsinore station.Deputies quickly confirmed that the victim had been shot to death, and homicide detectives took over the investigation, according to sheriff's Sgt. Ben Ramirez.After gathering evidence at the scene and canvassing the area, detectives identified Vega as the alleged perpetrator, according to the sergeant, who did not disclose a possible motive for the attack.The defendant
