Magnitude 3.3 quake shakes Hemet area

HEMET (CNS) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 struck Friday night 4 miles southeast of the unincorporated community of Valle Vista near Hemet. The quake, with a depth of about 10 miles, was reported at 9:41 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The shaking was felt in Hemet and San Jacinto, both about 8 miles from the epicenter, but authorities had no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
