Biker killed in 215 crash ID’d as Menifee man

PERRIS (CNS) - A 58-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured just north of Perris when he tumbled from his bike and landed in the path of a car, which ran over him, authorities said today.Frank Jones of Menifee was killed about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday when he was struck on Interstate 215, between Harley Knox and Van Buren boulevards, according to the California Highway Patrol.Officer Juan Quintero said Jones was going south on I-215 when he "lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected from it. (The victim) was subsequently struck by a passing motorist (and) sustained fatal injuries as a result of this."The driver stopped and waited for CHP officers to arrive.Riverside County Fire Department paramedics pronounced Jones dead at the scene less than 15 minutes later.The CHP
