More county businesses to open on Friday, after largest one-day increase in COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - More Riverside County businesses will be able to open their doors Friday, with nail salons, tattoo parlors and massage therapy outlets eligible to return to operation, county Supervisor Karen Spiegel announced Wednesday — even as county health officials reported an increase of 257 documented coronavirus cases."We welcome more Riverside County businesses reopening, and we encourage people to support those businesses that are protecting their employees, because it also means they care about protecting their customers,'' the supervisor said.According to RUHS figures, the number of COVID-19 cases countywide that have been documented since early March stands at 11,951, compared to 11,694 on Tuesday — a one-day increase of roughly 2%.
