HEMET (CNS) - Hemet police are investigating the deaths of a couple killed in their home.
The man and woman, whose names were not immediately released, were discovered dead shortly before 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3 at their residence in the 5000 block of Corte Cerro, near Via Rivas, according to Hemet police Lt. Nathan Miller.
``The victims were the only two in the home,'' Miller said. ``Investigators learned that an adult son in his 40s also lives in the home, but he has not been located yet.''
He said patrol officers were sent to the location for a welfare check because the victims -- the man was in his 70s, and the woman in her 60s -- had not been in touch with friends and family for an unspecified period, leading to concerns.
There was no word on how they died.
