RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Triple-digit temperatures are expected in most parts of Riverside County Thursday, Aug. 3, ushering in a heat wave that will increase the risk of wildfires and could bring record high temperatures throughout the region, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures in Temecula are expected to reach 100 degrees on Friday, 111 Saturday, and 109 Sunday. Murrieta is expected to top out at 102 degrees Friday, 111 Saturday, and 110 Sunday. Lake Elsinore will hit 104 Friday, 111 Saturday, 111 Sunday, and 101 Monday. Menifee is expected to hit 106 Friday, 112 Saturday and Sunday, and 104 Monday.
