The SCPGA Junior Tour has been hosting events, and earlier in September, the Toyota Tour Cup got a break from the heat down at the Arrowood Golf Course in Oceanside. With temperatures in the mid-80s and a steady breeze off the ocean, the two-day tournament made for a pleasant golfing experience for many of the local junior golfers participating in the event.According to the SCPGA website, the stroke average for the field through round one was 75.5 and would have been quite lower if not for the infamous “Quandary.” The stretch of holes begins at the par-3 hole on the 15th, but the test really starts on the daunting 16th hole and extends through the 18th.
