Man fatally injured in collision stemming from police chase in Murrieta

MURRIETA (CNS) - A man who allegedly fled from Murrieta police during a traffic stop and crashed into two vehicles, including a patrol car, died from injuries suffered in the wreck, authorities said Friday, Oct. 2. Keshon Manning, 25, of Desert Hot Springs suffered ultimately fatal injuries shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday in the rollover crash at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Los Alamos Road. According to Murrieta police Lt. Ron Driscoll, Manning and another man, whose name was not disclosed, were spotted by a patrolman cruising the area of Jefferson and Murrieta Hot Springs Road. An unspecified traffic violation prompted the officer to signal the driver to stop, but he instead sped away and a chase ensued, Driscoll said.
