Riverside County and United Way host rental assistance pop-up event in Hemet 

HEMET – Residents struggling to pay rent as a result of the pandemic found up to $3,500 in assistance at a pop-up event in Hemet Wednesday, Oct. 7, sponsored by Riverside County and Inland SoCal United Way. Applications for the United Lift rental assistance program were accepted at the Workforce Development Center in Hemet.The United Lift rental assistance program provided $33 million to renters affected by COVID-19. Payments were made directly to landlords with no limit as to the number of payments a landlord may receive.Residents living near Hemet, San Jacinto, Idyllwild and Anza were conditionally approved on the spot based on the following documentation: a form of identification, lease agreement, proof of COVID-19 impact or related loss of income and landlord’s contact inf
