Riverside County’s Local Agency Formation Commission annexed a 5.83-acre parcel within Murrieta into the Rancho California Water District, the Eastern Municipal Water District and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.LAFCO’s 7-0 vote Thursday, Oct. 22, approved the annexations while finding that an addendum to the environmental negative declaration was in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act. The annexations will not be recorded until after the expiration of a 30-day protest period.The land consists of one legal parcel south of Elm Street, west of Interstate 15, north of Cherry Street and east of Adams Avenue.
