The contract to replace the discharge pipes at the Eastern Municipal Water District’s El Centro Lift Station has been awarded to Schuler Constructors Inc.Eastern’s board voted 5-0, Wednesday, Nov. 4, to award Schuler the contract for the Corona company’s bid of $279,620. The action also approved a $27,500 contract with SPEC Services Inc. for engineering services during construction, delegated contracts with necessary consultants and suppliers to Paul Jones, EMWD general manager Paul Jones, and approved additional appropriations of $492,900 to increase the total project budget to $529,700.The El Centro Lift Station is within the Menifee city limits north of Scott Road and between Interstate 215 and Winchester Road.
