The contract for the preliminary design of the Eastern Municipal Water District’s Ridgemoor Road Pipelines Project has been awarded to Gannett Fleming.Eastern’s board voted 5-0, Wednesday, Nov. 4, to approve a $99,979 contract with Gannett Fleming, which is headquartered in San Marcos. The action also appropriated $365,000 for the preliminary design phase. That full amount also covers traffic control, environmental and geotechnical studies, coordination with Murrieta, potholing, surveying and engineering branch labor.The Ridgemoor Road Pipelines Project will replace a water distribution pipeline 12 inches in diameter and construct a new transmission pipeline 24 inches in diameter. Work on both pipelines will be conducted concurrently as both are approximate 4,400-foot segments
