Aguanga resident Jesse Hernandez is fascinated with photography and especially feathered and colorful subjects. Birds are a common theme in his work, and he captured several images of the sometimes shy and hard to find creatures. “I have been doing photography for almost 20 years now,” Hernandez said. “I originally started out drawing when I was in my younger years. Over time, my hands have become weary of drawing and I will eventually get back into it, but I have developed a big passion for photography.” Some of his images have been featured in local newspapers and on social media. He said he hopes to continue to present his photographs to a welcoming and encouraging community. Diane Si
