Three undocumented immigrants working at marijuana grow arrested

PERRIS (CNS) - Federal immigration officials Saturday, Jan. 16 said they arrested three Mexican nationals suspected of being in the country illegally and working at an unsanctioned marijuana growing operation in Perris. Authorities said that on Wednesday, U.S. Border Patrol agents followed a man suspected of illegally re-entering the country after deportation and of being involved in maritime smuggling into a rural area of Perris. When immigration officials approached the man, who was driving a Toyota pickup truck, he fled on foot through an illegal marijuana growing operation where he was allegedly employed, authorities said. The 35-year-old Mexican national was eventually arrested, along with two other Mexican nationals who were also working at the site and were allegedly in the count
