Blaze tears through Hemet mobile home

HEMET (CNS) - A blaze that erupted Friday in a Hemet mobile home caused major damage to the structure but was stopped before spreading to adjacent residences. The fire was reported about 12:40 p.m. in the Sun Valley Estates Mobile Home Park at Acacia and Palm avenues, according to the Hemet Fire Department. The agency said multiple city engine crews, along with two engines from the Riverside County Fire Department, were sent to the location and encountered smoke pouring out of all sides of the doublewide. Witnesses told 911 dispatchers that two occupants were trapped in the home, but a search confirmed that it was unoccupied, according to reports from the scene.
