Young Marine Hunter Edmisten, 12, promoted from private first class to lance corporal in a ceremony Sunday, Feb. 21.In November 2020, several Temecula Valley Young Marines were recognized by Sheriff Chad Bianco with a letter of appreciation addressed to each, a pin and pop sockets for their assistance with Sgt. Harry Cohen’s funeral services.“These kids are great examples to Young Marines around them,” Janene Edmisten, who is Hunter Edmisten’s mother, said. “I’m a very proud mama.”Janene Edmisten’s son and daughter, who are both Hamilton K-8 students, graduated the Young Marines boot camp in 2020, completing eight weeks of education, training and practice.Sawyer, 10, and Hunter Edmisten, 12, earned the title of Young Marines and will continue to strive for h
