HUSD plan reconfiguration of Hamilton school structure

The Hemet Unified School District announced a plan to reconfigure Anza’s Hamilton schools at a board meeting held Tuesday, Feb. 23. This action will move sixth, seventh and eighth graders from the Hamilton TK-8 School to the Hamilton High School campus.Over the past year, the Hemet Unified School District said it has needed to reallocate funding and resources due to the uncertainty of the state’s financial budget and a decline in enrollment due to the coronavirus pandemic. These changes are imperative for the long-term health of HUSD and the communities it serves, according to the district.Specific to Hamilton schools, the decrease in student enrollment goes back over the past decade.
