HEMET – Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington is looking to fill a vacant seat on Citrus Pest Control District No. 3 in Hemet. Members of the Citrus Pest Control District No. 3 develop strategies to control, eradicate and respond to the Asian citrus psyllid population, which can infect citrus plants with a serious agricultural disease known as huanglongbing. The board may make recommendations to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Members must be at least 18 years old, citizens of the United States and California, and the owner of property within the district that is devoted, in whole or part, to the growth of citrus.
