ANAHEIM - Tonight's scheduled game between the Los Angeles Angels and Minnesota Twins at Angel Stadium has been postponed to allow for continued testing and contact tracing involving members of the Twins organization.
MLB made the announcement about 80 minutes before the scheduled first pitch of 6:07 p.m. Fans were already in the stadium as the announcement was made but neither club took batting practice.
A member of the Twins' traveling party tested positive for COVID-19 before Minnesota's 10-3 loss to the Angels on Friday night at Angel Stadium, manager Rocco Baldelli announced following the game.
Baldelli did not specify what role that person had in the Twins' group, but indicated that "few members of the group'' would remain away from the stadium for the next few days.
