Vaccine clinic at Hemet shopping mall now open

A new vaccine clinic began operations May 5 at the Hemet Valley Mall, within the former Sears building. The clinic, being run by OptumServe, is at 2200 W. Florida Ave. and will operate from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.Additionally, the clinic site at Alessandro High School in Hemet is now closed.“We are so thankful to the Hemet Unified School District for allowing us to use several of their campus sites for vaccine clinics,” Kim Saruwatari, director of Public Health, said. “The district has stepped up when asked and been a great community partner and continues to do so.”More than 1.6 million vaccine doses have been administered to Riverside County residents between the county operated clinics and those run by community partners and providers.“River
