$11.7 million in American Rescue Plan projects discussed by San Jacinto City Council

The San Jacinto City Council gave their approval to spending $11,773,274 from the American Rescue Plan in the next five years to improve the city’s deteriorating infrastructure and other projects to improve the daily lives of the city’s residents.The large amount of money that the city has already received is about 50% in total which is partially allocated for the relocation and drilling of its closed Grand Well at 906 Industrial Way. The well, according to Deputy City Manager Tom Prill, has been closed down for years with its casings completely deteriorated. He said hydrologists determined a new Grand Well should be drilled about 200 feet from the old well.
