Menifee City Council approves the expansion of its Military Banner Program

The Menifee City Council adopted a revised Military Banner Program Policy that allows donations made to the banner account be used to provide free banners to families with their servicemen facing hardship, Fallen Heros and Gold Star families at its Aug. 18 regular meeting.The military banners are posted on utility poles along major roads in the city to recognize current and fallen American military service members. Military banners are offered on a first come, first served basis to service members’ families by the city whether they are currently living in the city or have recently moved. The city determines their eligibility.To date there have been $1,687.27 donations to help with the program given to the city. It was determined by the council that the money should be provided to
