Retired educator addresses racism at football game

Dear Editor:As a retired, 40-year middle school teacher for the Temecula Valley Unified School District, I am deeply ashamed of alleged racist behavior directed at Valley View High School football players and its cheerleaders during freshmen, junior varsity, and varsity games held at Temecula Valley High School. Witnesses report several instances of racial epithets, threats of physical violence, mocking “monkey noises” and other harassment by some of Temecula Valley High School’s football players, its cheerleaders and fans.
