HEMET – The Polar Plunge is returning to Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District’s Diamond Valley Aquatic Center from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, and there is an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to participate – and raise money. The Polar Plunge offers a chance to jump or slide into the unheated swimming pool at Diamond Valley Aquatic Center. For the inaugural event in 2020, the water temperature was 51 degrees. Participants and guests will be asked to give to the participating charity of their choice. Each organization will keep all the money donated to them. Nonprofit groups or donors interested in participating are asked to contact Craig Shultz at 951-654-1505 or Submitted by Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District.
