Domestic Violence Suspect Killed, Officer Injured in Beaumont

BEAUMONT - Authorities shot and killed a suspect who violated a domestic violence restraining order before ramming his car into multiple police vehicles and a private vehicle, injuring a police officer, sheriff's officials said today. The incident began around 10 p.m. Thursday, when deputies from the Perris Sheriff's Station responded to a report of a domestic violence dispute in the 17000 block of Ridge Canyon Drive, in the unincorporated area of Perris known as Woodcrest, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
