NORCO (CNS) - A horse was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 15 in Norco today, causing a crash that prompted a Sigalert. The crash was reported at about 12:30 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Sixth Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP said at least one vehicle struck a brown horse who ran across the freeway. A witness told a CHP dispatcher that a second horse ran across a bridge on Sixth Street. The condition of the injured horse was not immediately known. A CHP log said the horse was down in the slow lane and a forklift might be needed. It was unclear if any people were injured. The two left lanes were shut down on the northbound side of the freeway, causing gridlock through Hidden Valley Parkway. Copyright 2022, City News Service, Inc.
