Supervisors approve renewal of college contract to train firefighters

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The Riverside County Board of Supervisors Tuesday, March 22, approved renewal of a contract between the Riverside Community College District and Riverside County Fire Department to provide courses at the Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, enabling junior college students to pursue careers as firefighters. In a 5-0 vote without comment, the board signed off on the new five-year instructional service agreement, which will continue all programs at Ben Clark, under the supervision of Moreno Valley College staff. The compact will expire on June 30, 2027.
