RIVERSIDE (CNS) - A 26-year-old woman was arrested today after allegedly hitting a California Highway Patrol officer stopped on his motorcycle at a Riverside intersection, then fleeing the scene.Heather Fernandez Hernandez of Riverside was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in injuries, felony driving under the influence and DUI with injuries.Hernandez was approaching the intersection of Adams Street and Indiana Avenue in her 2005 Hyundai Elantra about 4:50 a.m. and failed to stop for traffic, plowing into a CHP motor officer waiting for the light to change, Riverside Police Department Officer Ryan Railsback said.The lawman was ejected from his motorcycle onto the roadway, suffering moderate injuries, Rails
