Calvert, Rollins headed for runoff in tight race to retain seat

With approximately 136,000 vote-by-mail and 2,000 provisional ballots still left to be processed in Riverside County as of press time, it appears that longtime incumbent Congressmember Ken Calvert has some competition for his seat.Unofficial election results according to the California Secretary of State website show Calvert, a Republican, with 43.8% of the vote with Democrat Will Rollins, coming in with 35.2%, sending the two to a runoff in the November General Election.California’s primary system sends the top two vote-getters in congressional races, regardless of party, to the general election.In addition to Rollins Calvert was challenged for his seat by Shrina Kurani (15.1%), John Michael Lucio (4.6%) and Anna Nevenic (1.3%).Calvert, who has been in Congress since the
