Temecula Historical Society to present ‘Riverside County’s Early Desert Denizens’
TEMECULA – Steve Lech, who is considered the authority on Riverside County history, will present a program titled “Riverside County’s Early Desert Denizens” live at the Little Temecula History Center, the red barn at the corner of Redhawk Parkway and Wolf Store Road at 6 p.m., Monday, June 27.“The desert has always lured those who march to the beat of a different drummer, and Riverside County’s desert was certainly no exception,” Lech said. “Miners, philosophers, eccentrics and humorists have all played a role in the desert.”Author and researcher Steve Lech has spent time getting to “know” some of these eccentrics of the past and will bring some of them to light in this fascinating presentation.
