TEMECULA – Pechanga Resort and Casino will welcome back boxing when Top Rank Boxing, in association with Ringside Ticket Inc., hosts Friday Night Fights on July 15. The main event will feature Arnold Barboza Jr. and Danielito “El Zorro” Zorrilla in a 10-round super lightweight bout, which means the weight limit will be 140 pounds.

Barboza Jr. steps into the ring with an undefeated record of 26 wins, zero loses and 0 draws, 10 of those wins coming by way of knock out. Zorrilla will make his way to the ring with an unblemished record of 16 wins and 0 draws, with 12 of those by knock out.

The stats suggest Zorrilla has a massive power advantage over Barboza Jr, boosting at 75% knock out percentage to the lesser 38%. Barboza Jr. is the more experienced professional fighter, having had 10 more fights, and made his debut in 2013, 3 years and 4 months earlier than Zorrilla, whose first professional fight was in 2016. He has fought 92 more professional rounds, 150 to Zorrilla’s 58.

The fighters are expected to ring walk at around 10:00 PM EST / 7:00 PM PST at Pechanga Resort & Casino. The fights will be broadcast on ESPN and is expected to begin at 9:00 PM EST / 6:00 PM PST.

In an eight-round lightweight co-feature, Southern California’s Raymond “Danger” Muratalla (14-0, 12 KOs) steps up in class against Mexican veteran Jair Valtierra (16-1, 8 KOs). The televised opener will see the return of U.S. Olympic silver medalist Richard Torrez Jr. (1-0, 1 KO) against Roberto Zavala Jr. (2-1-1, 2 KOs) in a six-rounder at heavyweight.
