MENIFEE – Kennya Toledo, a senior at Paloma Valley High School in Menifee, read her winning scholarship essay at the Temecula Valley Genealogical Society’s general membership meeting Monday, June 13, at the Ronald H. Roberts Public Library in Temecula. The essay topic was “My COVID Experience – A Letter to Future Generations.” Participants were asked to describe how the coronavirus pandemic impacted their life, to explain what they learned about themselves and their family through it, to reveal how the pandemic changed their perspectives or attitudes and to consider if there were any positive things that came from their experience.
