Menifee announced it may be extending the nomination process for the two city council district seats until Wednesday, Aug. 17, if the incumbent doesn’t seek reelection. Seats for District 2, which is held by Matthew Liesemeyer, and for District 4, which is held by Dean Deines, will open for the next four years. Liesmeyer said previously that he may not seek reelection.Menifee residents in those districts can schedule an appointment with the city clerk to obtain their nomination papers to qualify for the November 2022 General Election ballot.
