HEMET (CNS) - An 87-year-old woman was reported missing today in Hemet. Maneula Smith was last seen Sunday in the area of East Florida Avenue and North Comell Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Smith is 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing all black clothing and was traveling on foot.
Anyone who has seen Smith or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
