About BRG:

BRG Pirates Select Development Teams are an initiative of Baseball Resource Group and Tarrik Brock 1B Coach of the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization. Teams are designed to familiarize youth players with the pro minor league farming system of the MLB. Players are taught how to play professional baseball at a very young age in hopes that they will be better prepared to enter professional baseball at the completion of HS or college. Teams are structured by players’ skill level, and not particularly by age. This allows younger players with the skill set and maturity to compete and play with older players, and also play with teammates of their peers.  Players will move up and down and through the system based on performance and ability.
