Fourth graders join older adults in Mother’s Day crafting

MURRIETA – Fourth graders and older adults with dementia created Mother’s Day cards together at Vineyard Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, 24325 Washington Ave., in Murrieta. The youngsters, who are students in Cynthia Calvillo-Murray’s class at Cole Canyon Elementary School, helped make the cards, so that each resident could write Mother’s Day messages on them.“Our seniors cherish spending time with the youngsters, and it brings them great joy to share happy memories of their past,” Christopher Balmes, life engagement director for Vineyard Place,
