EVMWD approves water and wastewater master plans

The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District board approved updated master plans for the district’s water system, sewer system, and recycled water system.A 5-0 vote May 23 approved the updated plans. The master plans address anticipated needs through 2050 and in current dollars the expected capital expenditures are $1.078 billion for water system improvements, $315.4 million for wastewater facility upgrades, and $174.4 million for recycled water projects.The district’s previous master plans were prepared in 2016. In 2021 the EVMWD board awarded Carollo Engineers, Inc., a $968,426 contract to update the three master plans.
