A wildfire has erupted in the 20800 block of Gardenias Street in unincorporated Perris, Riverside County, and is currently burning across 120 acres, with containment efforts still at 20%.
An immediate threat to life. This is an order by law enforcement to leave immediately. The area is lawfully closed to public access.
Evacuation Warnings
There is an immediate threat to life and evacuations have been ordered. Here are the evacuation areas, according to Cal Fire X feed:
The blaze, which started early this morning, remains under active investigation. Firefighters are battling the flames with a combination of ground and aerial resources, including 20 engines, 2 helicopters, 2 dozers, and 3 water tenders. In total, 160 personnel are on the scene working to control the fire.
Additional resources have been requested to aid in the containment efforts. No structures have been reported destroyed or damaged, and there have been no injuries or fatalities reported among civilians or firefighters.
The situation remains fluid as CAL FIRE Riverside Unit continues to lead the response with a unified command approach. Firefighters are focused on controlling the blaze and preventing further spread.
