EMWD amends contract for Holland Road recycled water pipeline crossing

The Eastern Municipal Water District contract to construct the Holland Road recycled water pipeline crossing has been amended. Eastern’s board voted 4-0 September 4, with Randy Record absent, to authorize an amendment to the contract with Scorpion Backhoe, Inc. The amendment will add $94,585 to the initial $226,700 contract awarded to the Hemet company. The City of Menifee is in the process of constructing the Holland Road overpass project at Interstate 215. The project includes new recycled water infrastructure for landscape irrigation. The existing EMWD recycled water system terminates with an eight-inch pipeline in Holland Road west of the intersection with Haun Road, so a gap pipeline will connect the recycled water infrastructure across Haun Road.
