Anza Community Hall Breast Cancer Walk, Chili Cook-Off, Craft Fair earns $4,467 for charity
The Anza Community Hall presented a Breast Cancer Walk, Chili Cook-Off and Craft Fair Saturday, Oct. 26, raising $4,467.05 for Michelle's Place Cancer Resource Center and about $1,000 for the Hall.
"Thank you to everyone that took part in the Breast Cancer Walk and for making it a great success," said Anza Community Hall director Pebbles Lewis. "This just gets bigger and better every year."
According to Lewis, the event attracted several Craft Fair vendors and Chili Cook-off entries. A record 73 people participated in the Breast Cancer Walk, which started at the Community Hall in Anza and proceeded down St. Hwy. 371 to Contreras Rd., continuing to the Hamilton Museum, then back to the Hall. All walkers received an event T-shirt for a $25 donation.
