TEMECULA – A vehicle veered off southbound Interstate 15 and crashed into a house near Rancho California Road early Saturday morning, resulting in minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on May 3, when a red Ford Mustang or similar vehicle exited the right shoulder just south of the Rancho California Road onramp and struck a nearby residence. The car was not visible from the roadway, according to CHP logs.

Fire personnel responded to the scene, and the vehicle was confirmed to have struck the structure. One person was transported with minor injuries to Inland Valley Medical Center. The extent of damage to the residence has not been disclosed.
Recovery efforts were complicated when the first tow company on scene lacked the necessary equipment to remove the vehicle. A wheel-lift tow truck was later dispatched by United Tow.
The incident was reclassified by CHP as a minor-injury collision at 9:48 a.m. No further information about the cause of the crash or potential charges has been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
