Actual construction of an air traffic control tower at French Valley Airport will not occur until the County of Riverside, which owns and operates the airport, has the funding for that improvement, but the county has approved the environmental documentation and has given formal approval to the project.A 5-0 Riverside County Board of Supervisors vote May 20 officially approved the French Valley Airport – Air Traffic Control Tower Construction project, along with the environmental Final Initial Study, Mitigated Negative Declaration, and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program for the project.
