Riverside Transit Agency seeks to hire 50 community bus drivers at March 7 hiring event in Hemet

RIVERSIDE —The Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) is hiring 50 community bus drivers and will host a hiring event on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the RTA Hemet facility located at 700 Scaramella Circle, in Hemet.
Community bus drivers operate the Agency’s mid-size bus fleet, consisting of vehicles under 40 feet in length. The starting hourly rate is $26.27, with a generous benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance coverage, CalPERS retirement, paid holidays and sick days, basic life insurance and more.
Candidates are required to bring:
  • A current, valid and non-restricted Class C driver’s license.
  • A DMV driver’s history printout issued within the last 30 days. The official driver’s history report can be obtained from the DMV kiosk/online history printout process.
Walk-ins are welcome. RTA will conduct onsite assessments and qualified applicants may receive same-day offers.
