A person was arrested Saturday after allegedly setting off illegal fireworks that ignited a vegetation fire behind the Greer Ranch community, according to the Murrieta Police Department and Murrieta Fire & Rescue.Authorities said officers responded during the morning after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting someone lighting fireworks in a field. The fireworks sparked a brush fire that burned about one-quarter acre before Murrieta Fire & Rescue firefighters contained it. No injuries were reported.As officers responded, the Murrieta Police Department's Drone as First Responder program launched a drone that quickly located both the suspect and the fire.
