The U.S. Open tournament for SpeedGolf took place July 25-26 at the Temecula Creek Golf Club.“It went phenomenally well,” said SpeedGolf USA Temecula chapter founder and president Jon Flietstra.SpeedGolf scores add the 18-hole golfing score to the time consumed from the start to the finish. “It’s speed plus your golf score,” Flietstra said.The spectators are allowed to use carts, but the players must run at some pace when they are not positioned to hit the ball. The golfers run between holes as well as between shots on a particular hole. The running pace slows prior to a shot.
