The City of Hemet awarded a contract for sidewalk improvements along Acacia Avenue and Ramona Street.A 4-0 Hemet City Council vote August 11, with Mayor Linda Krupa recusing herself, approved a $348,690 contract with CT&T Concrete Paving, Inc., for the work. The vote also authorized up to $34,869 of additional expenditures to cover change orders or unforeseen circumstances.The sidewalk improvements on the north side of Acacia Avenue will be from South Gilbert Street to South Santa Fe Street. Both the east and west sides of Ramona Street from Acacia Avenue to Kimball Avenue will have sidewalk improvements. In addition to sidewalks meeting Americans with Disabilities Act standards the work will also include curb ramps, gutter improvements, and concrete driveway approaches in area
