The Rancho California Water District will be filling a Board of Directors vacancy on Thursday, Aug. 6 during a special board meeting and the district wants to remind the public that applications for the position will be accepted through 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3.
The meeting will be able to be viewed live on YouTube starting at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6.
According to Grace Cardenas, Public Information Officer for Rancho Water, “Applicants interested in serving out the remainder of the term must reside within the district’s service area, which includes Temecula, portions of the city of Murrieta and unincorporated areas of southwest Riverside County.”
Cardenas said the seat will be placed on the ballot for the November 2020 general election, and the newly appointed director will hold the office until the general election results are certified.
