Manos, Magee leading in respective Lake Elsinore city council races

Jeff Pack Staff WriterDistrict 2 city council member Steve Manos and District 5 city council member Bob Magee, were looking strong in their bids to be reelected to their respective seats on the Lake Elsinore city council, fending off challenges from two candidates in each district. As of 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, Manos had a lead of 1,064 votes, ahead of Michael Carroll with 890 votes and Edwin Castro with 258 votes. Magee had gathered 909 votes, Jorge Lopez 773, and Robert Kelly 528. According to Riverside County, “approximately 317,000 vote-by-mail and 25,000 provisional ballots still must be processed.
