EVMWD reminds Canyon Lake residents about East Bay’s natural seasonal process

LAKE ELSINORE – Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) is informing Canyon Lake residents that the East Bay area has begun to stratify, and the main body of the lake is expected to turn over soon as part of a natural seasonal process. Lake turnover occurs as cooler fall temperatures cause surface water to sink and mix with deeper layers, redistributing oxygen and nutrients throughout the lake.
