Temecula City Council approves bid process for Station 73 gym and garage

The Temecula City Council approved the bid process for a gymnasium and a second garage at Fire Station 73.A 5-0 vote July 14 authorized the city’s Department of Public Works to solicit construction bids for the project which will include a storage room along with the gym and the second garage. The action also approved the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the project and found the upgrades to an existing station to be categorically exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review.Station 73 is in the 27400 block of Enterprise Circle. The fire station currently has 8,000 square feet of space.
